FEELING FANTASTIC - 2 MONTHS POST-OP
Okay, So I am feeling great. I woke up a week ago and my lower back pain is gone. The extreme lower back pain I have had since May 2009 is no longer. Yippee!!! I am so happy. I started saying a Miracle Prayer the night before. This was from a prayer card that I lost last summer that was given to me by a man at my church. Anyway, I am about 95% pain free and just have a little lingering pain to the right of my incision that I feel every once in a while. So, I am decided to get on with my life - organizing my house is first on the agenda. There have been so many things I have neglected over the last 8 months. I go for my next MRI on March 15th. I prayer that this healing success continues.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your surgery experiences. Three weeks ago Dr. Feigenbaum operated on two of my cysts, both were ping pong ball size, one at S1 and one at S4.
He also fused L5 to S1. I'm wondering if any of the other followers had similar surgery, so we could compare notes.
Prior to surgery my major complaint was progessive weakness in my legs, particularly the right leg, and pain in both buns. I also had bowel and bladder symptoms and vaginal pain.
My symptoms are all still present, actually worse, and I have much more pain that before surgery. I'm trying to be patient, but it's a bit scary!

Hi Susan, I would encourage you to joing the Yahoo Group, TarlovCystDiseaseSurvival group. This is a great group of people that are pre-op and post-op, a lot of us had surgery with Dr. F., others have gone the FGI procedure route and others are contemplating what to do. I am feeling almost 100%, doing most everything I used to do. I am at 10 months post op. As you can see from my blog, at about 8 - 10 weeks post op, I felt great. I hope you continue to improve, it takes time for the nerves to go back.
